                           Gene Padgitt, Vice President and Field Operations Manager:  More About Gene   Our Awards

 
  • Master Mechanical License in Johnson County, Kansas City, Missouri, Independence, and Raytown (recognized by all other cities in the KC area). Requires passing the BLOCK test and knowledge of gas, oil, and wood-burning heating equipment, chimneys, vents, ducts, plumbing, electrical and codes applying to these applications.  Requires 8 hours of CEU course training annually at Johnson County.
  • Certified Chimney Sweep by the Chimney Safety Institute of America
    The Certification requires knowledge of codes, clearances, construction, inspection, and maintenance of chimneys and fireplaces.  Testing or 42  CEU credits required every three years.

Our Employees:

Tony Gross: Has been with the company for 11 years.  Tony is an experienced reliner and works with tile, steel, custom-made liners, and Guardian poured liner systems as well as FireGuard flue joint sealant, masonry repairs, water-repellant application, restoration of smoke chambers, fireboxes, crowns, dampers, chimney covers and dryer vent cleaning.  Tony is our lead man.

Ricky Cline: Has been with the company since 2005.  Ricky works as an assistant reliner and masonry restoration assistant.  He is in training to be a lead man.

Buddy Wickizer: Buddy is Gene's assistant but also works with Tony - basically wherever he is needed.  Buddy has 6 years experience with the company.  He is also finishing training to be a Chimney Sweep/inspector.

Tamie Dorsch: Executive Assistant/Dispatcher.  Tamie has been with the company since the year 2005. She is Gene and Marge's assistant, and does all of the scheduling.

Maria McKenzie: Maria has been with the company for 17 years.  She handles the bookkeeping and accounts. She works nights and is currently studying for a degree in Criminal Justice so at some point she will be leaving us to be an investigator. We tried to get her to be a chimney sweep but nothing doing.

Henry McKenzie: Handles our security and sound systems, installs phones, etc. and does ceiling cleaning or gutter guard installations.

Frank Kithcart: Has worked for the company part time for 10 years. Frank helps with our trade shows and conventions and schedules appointments.
