Chimney Sweep/Inspector
Seasonal full-time work. We
provide all chimney cleaning and inspection equipment needed including truck, brushes,
poles, vacuum, tarps, Chim-Scan camera, scrapers, and other tools. Must be CSIA Certified.
Qualifications: Must have a high-school diploma or
higher. Vo-tech education or college education is helpful. No felony convictions and you must be bondable. Handyman, contractor, or roofing experience helpful. Must be CSIA Certified (we can arrange for testing)
Must have a valid driver's license and have own transportation to and from work
Cannot be afraid of heights
Must have good math and English skills, have legible writing,
Job duties include:
Inspection of the interior and exterior of the chimney
visually and with the Chim-Scan camera.
Fill out inspection report and if damages are found,
measurements for estimating purposes.
Sweep fireplace, wood stove, wood insert, and furnace
flues.
Install chimney covers and sell fireplace
accessories.
Do minor repairs such as tuckpointing fireplaces and
repairing crowns.
Assist our crew on site for major repairs including
relining, chimney restoration, tear down and rebuilding.

Laborer
Seasonal full-time work October - December in the greater Kansas City area.
Must have some contractor experience and be able to work with tools and off of
ladders and roofs. Must speak English. Will also do other jobs as
needed such as assisting with chimney repairs and moving freight.
Intern
Non-paying internship for high school or
college student interested in getting experience doing marketing, research,
mailing, filing, scanning, sorting, taking phone calls, customer service, and
other projects for a busy office. Must be friendly and have good math and
English skills, must speak English. Computer skills important.
