This is a relining job we did for the Sulgrave Regency Condominiums. The flue
liner had missing mortar joints and gaps that allowed heated flue gasses to
escape the flue, which was a fire hazard. A HomeSaver brand
45 foot flexible stainless steel chimney liner was installed to serve a
fireplace. The owner wanted to burn wood in the fireplace, so this was the
only alternative.
Scaffolding is being set up on the roof to access the chimney.
The liner is pulled up on top of the roof ready to be hauled up
with an electric winch to the chimney. |
View from top after the liner is installed with top plate. |
View from top down inside the flue liner. |
Bottom of liner sealed to smoke chamber with high-temp mortar,
and the chamber is being parge coated to seal it. |
