Seminars The Speaker: Marge Padgitt, is a 19-year veteran of the chimney industry. She is a Certified Chimney Sweep, a National Fireplace Institute Woodburning Specialist, and is the technical advisor for Padgitt Chimney Services. Padgitt has a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A. in professional writing. She is the past president of the Midwest Chimney Safety Council, and has served on the board of directors of several chimney organizations since 1993. Marge is currently the Educational Director for the MCSC, and is on the board of directors for the Midwest, Hearth, Patio, and Barbecue Association. Padgitt also sits on two technical committees for Underwriters Laboratories. Margie writes technical and business articles for trade publications and does training seminars for insurance adjusters, home inspectors, code and fire officials, and the general public.
